Woodland Nursery Design

Woodland Themed Nursery Design

The Woodland Crib Bedding craze is in full swing. Take a look at Pinterest and you'll see what we mean. Woodland imagery has a storybook charm. Plus, with dozens of options in accessories, colors, animals, wall decor and more, your nursery can truly be your own design. It's so versatile. Go the artistic route with gorgeous accent walls, rustic (dark reclaimed wood walls), to a light modern woodland-inspired nursery. We bought some rustic wood panels to decorate this woodland nursery setting and created an entirely different look with that one rustic wall. We went on and created the two window seats using the same wood.

Rustic Nursery Decor Ideas by Liz and Roo

We also love the Woodland nursery theme because it can grow with your child. It's not your mother's nursery (or grandmother's), whose room design often became obsolete when the baby turned three or four years old.

Don't want to know the sex of your baby? The woodland nursery theme is a great design for gender neutral nursery design.

A few years ago owls were all the rage. Last year foxes rose to the top of the trend pyramid, and now hedgehogs are the new teddy. It is, without doubt, confirmed that woodland creatures are in!

Liz and Roo has created two versions of woodland crib bedding 4-pc. sets:  Navy Woodland Crib Bedding and Mint Woodland Crib Bedding. Plus, we've created a new Woodland Mix and Match section where you can pick and choose to create your own nursery!

Here's a look at gender neutral navy woodland bedding and nursery design. This nursery was completed with accent pieces from Hobby Lobby, including the wall art, the fox, and the moose. The crib bedding, of course, is from Liz and Roo, and features a deer silhouette for the crib rail cover (or alternative bumper pads), a willow tree pattern on the crib skirt, a wide cabana stripe faux fur minky receiving blanket, and a soft white chenille "fur" crib sheet to round out the "woodland" theme. Solid navy curtains and a few baby pillows complete this nursery.

Beyond accessories, there walls really lend themselves to design in a woodland themed nursery. The use of paint, peel and stick art, and wallpaper in tree motifs, woods, and animals are abundant in many different styles. Take a look at a few of these.

The trees on the walls, which were painted gray, are the perfect finishing touch for this small nursery. LOVE!

Don't feel like painting? Try wall decals. These are easy to apply and are an affordable way to create your own Woodland nursery. We love these birch trees and deer by InAnInstantArt!

Below is a nursery featuring Liz and Roo's sweet baby girl mint green woodland bedding, combining deer, mod dots, and cabana stripes. The big cabana stripe curtains are easy to install (rod pocket) and make a bold statement in the nursery. The white crib skirt has a pretty woven finish. It's all washable, and all made in USA.
