Navy Nursery Design Ideas | Navy Crib Bedding
Navy is a popular color for nursery design. It’s got so many great features: it’s gender neutral, it’s bold and clean, and can be accented with a multitude of accent colors. Liz and Roo has embraced the navy baby bedding trend with so many mix and match crib bedding options!
We love this P’kolino crib with baby’s monogram (name) paired with our Navy Metro Crib Bedding. Simple and clean, this modern design can go in so many directions. Accent with color, add a theme (our anchors blanket is a top pairing with navy metro crib bedding) or keep the nursery design mono with navy and white.
Navy is the core color for the nautical nursery theme, which has been wildly embraced for the past year. Nautical nursery design is so much fun and can be combined with both purchased items and DYI projects. In the nursery below, a simple anchor on the wall (purchased at Hobby Lobby) and the anchor monogram set the tone for the nautical nursery theme.
Add in a few purchased items (note the cute sailboat in the center photo), accent with a Liz and Roo Anchors Minky Receiving Blanket, and this nautical nursery is complete! Everyone loves the big wide cabana stripe, and these navy cabana curtains complete the nursery.
On the right, the navy cabana stripes are painted on the walls, another great idea for this nursery design.
Navy mix and match options are many. Your crib bedding can be as simple as a crib skirt and crib sheet, and there are so many combinations that work. Change out the crib sheet to add some color with a solid and you’ve got a whole new look. This bright Dottie sheet in green makes a statement.
When painting the nursery, think about highlighting one wall with a bold accent of color (rather than the entire room). It can have a dramatic effect! Paint above or below the chair rail (two colors), paint a section of the wall one color, or highlight a single wall in a bold color. See how the nursery to the left incorporates baby’s monogram? The middle photo shows a really bold design incorporating navy below the chair rail and bold cabana stripes on the ceiling. We love the DYI with the net and anchor on the wall. The old bookshelf on the right was painted green to match the ceiling stripes.
Have fun with navy nursery design and let this be a time when you can exert all your creativity. Once your baby is born, you’ll be focusing on other things!
